A couple years ago the leg press machine in my home gym broke mid-workout. It was rated for up to 400 pounds, but 250 was enough to snap the central weld joint holding it together. At first I thought I'd have to buy a new, better machine, but my dad had a different suggestion. He thought with some careful welding and additional steel parts, I could not only fix my leg press machine, but make it stronger than ever. I took his advice. Watch this detailed video tour of my leg press machine and the improvements I made to it.
